Treat male pattern hair loss with generic minoxidil 5% topical solution. Minoxyqure 5% is made by Johnlee Pharmaceuticals and contains the same active ingredient and strength as Rogaine® / Regaine® for men, at a lower price per bottle.
How minoxidil 5% works
Minoxidil widens small blood vessels in the scalp and extends the growth phase of hair follicles. Over time this can slow hair loss and help thinner hairs grow thicker. It works best on the crown and top of the head and for men who started losing hair recently.
How to use minoxidil solution
- Apply 1 ml to a dry scalp twice a day, directly onto the thinning area.
- Spread it with your fingertips, then wash your hands.
- Let it dry for at least 2–4 hours before washing your hair or going to bed.
Some extra shedding in the first weeks is normal and usually a sign the treatment is working. Visible results typically take 3–6 months of daily use, and hair gained is gradually lost if you stop. See our step-by-step guide on using minoxidil 5% for hair loss.
Minoxidil for men: who it suits
Minoxidil 5% is intended for adult men with hereditary hair loss. It is not suitable for sudden or patchy hair loss, hair loss after childbirth, or a sore or irritated scalp. Speak to a doctor if you have heart problems or if your hair loss has no family history.
