Description

Buy Minoxyqure 5%, a generic Rogaine topical solution containing minoxidil 5% w/v, made by Johnlee Pharmaceuticals. Each 60 ml bottle costs $50 and lasts about a month at the usual dose, with discreet, tracked worldwide shipping.

What is Minoxyqure 5%?

Minoxyqure 5% is a generic Rogaine topical solution. Each millilitre contains 50 mg of minoxidil (5% w/v) – the same active ingredient, at the same strength, as Rogaine®/Regaine® Extra Strength 5% solution. It is made by Johnlee Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. in India and is applied to the scalp to treat hereditary hair loss, also called male pattern baldness.

Because Minoxyqure is a generic minoxidil 5% solution, it works in the same way as the branded product at a lower minoxidil price. That matters for a treatment that needs to be used every day to keep its results.

Minoxyqure 5% is supplied in a 60 ml bottle, which lasts about one month at the usual dose of 1 ml twice a day.

Uses of Minoxyqure 5%

Minoxyqure 5% (minoxidil topical solution 5%) is used for:

  • Male pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) – gradual thinning of hair on the top (crown) of the head in adult men.

Minoxidil works best in men who have started losing hair recently and whose thinning is mainly at the crown. It is less effective for a receding hairline at the temples, and it does not treat hair loss caused by illness, medicines, nutritional problems, scalp conditions or sudden patchy hair loss.

The 5% strength is intended mainly for men. Women are usually advised to use a lower-strength product unless a doctor recommends otherwise. Minoxyqure is not intended for anyone under 18.

How does Minoxyqure 5% work?

Minoxidil is a vasodilator, which means it widens blood vessels. When applied to the scalp, it is thought to improve blood flow to hair follicles and to extend the growth (anagen) phase of the hair cycle, so follicles produce thicker, longer hairs. The exact way it works on hair is not fully understood.

How fast does it work? Hair growth is slow, so most men need to use minoxidil twice daily for 2 to 4 months before seeing results. Results vary, and not everyone responds.

What if I stop? Minoxidil only works while you keep using it. If you stop, any new hair is usually lost within a few months.

Minoxyqure 5% dosage: how to take it

  • Apply 1 ml of solution twice a day (morning and evening) to the affected area of the scalp, using the dropper or applicator provided.
  • Make sure your hair and scalp are completely dry before applying, and spread the solution evenly over the thinning area.
  • Do not use more than 2 ml in a day. Using more, or applying more often, will not give better results and may increase side effects.
  • Wash your hands well after each use, and let the solution dry fully before going to bed or using hair styling products.
  • Do not wash your hair for at least 4 hours after applying.
  • Keep using it daily for as long as you want to maintain results, or as advised by your doctor or pharmacist.

If the solution is swallowed by accident, contact a doctor or emergency service straight away.

Minoxyqure 5% side effects

Like all medicines, minoxidil can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them. Most are mild and affect the scalp.

Common side effects:

  • Itching, dryness, flaking or redness of the scalp
  • Temporary increased hair shedding when you first start – older hairs making way for new growth; it usually settles, but see a doctor if it lasts more than 2 weeks
  • Unwanted hair growth on the face or other areas the solution touches
  • Headache
  • Changes in hair colour or texture

Stop using Minoxyqure and get medical help if you have:

  • Chest pain, a fast or irregular heartbeat
  • Feeling faint or dizzy
  • Sudden unexplained weight gain, or swelling of the hands, feet or face
  • Severe or persistent scalp redness, irritation or blistering
  • Signs of an allergic reaction – rash, swelling of the face, lips or throat, or difficulty breathing

Who should not take Minoxyqure 5%?

Do not use Minoxyqure 5% if you:

  • Have a scalp that is red, inflamed, infected, irritated, sunburnt or painful, or has broken skin
  • Have hair loss that is sudden, patchy or of unknown cause, or linked to childbirth
  • Are under 18
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Are allergic to minoxidil, propylene glycol or ethanol

Talk to your doctor first if you have heart disease, high or low blood pressure, or take medicine for blood pressure. Avoid contact with the eyes, nose and mouth – if the solution gets into your eyes, rinse well with cool water. The solution contains alcohol and is flammable, so do not use it near a flame or while smoking, and keep it away from hair dryers until it has dried.

Minoxyqure 5% drug interactions

Very little minoxidil is absorbed through healthy skin, but tell your doctor or pharmacist about every medicine you use, including those bought without a prescription. Important points include:

  • Other scalp treatments – such as corticosteroid creams, retinoids (tretinoin) or petroleum-based products can increase absorption of minoxidil; do not use them on the same area unless your doctor advises it.
  • Oral minoxidil or other blood pressure medicines – absorbed minoxidil could add to their effect; speak to your doctor first.
  • Other hair loss medicines – some men use minoxidil alongside other treatments, but only do this on medical advice.

How to store Minoxyqure 5%

Store Minoxyqure 5% below 25°C, or as stated on the pack, with the cap tightly closed. The solution is flammable – keep it away from heat, sparks and open flames. Keep it out of the sight and reach of children, and do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.

Minoxyqure 5% – frequently asked questions

Is Minoxyqure 5% the same as Rogaine?

Minoxyqure 5% contains the same active ingredient (minoxidil) at the same strength (5%) as Rogaine®/Regaine® Extra Strength solution, so it works in the same way. The difference is the manufacturer, the name, the price and possibly the bottle or applicator.

How long does it take to see results with minoxidil?

Most men need to use minoxidil twice daily for 2 to 4 months before seeing new hair growth. Results vary, and some men see little or no regrowth.

Why is my hair shedding more after starting minoxidil?

Some people notice extra shedding in the first few weeks. This usually happens as older hairs make way for new growth and normally settles. If shedding carries on for longer than 2 weeks, speak to your doctor.

What happens if I stop using minoxidil?

Minoxidil only works while you use it. If you stop, any hair that has regrown is usually lost within a few months and your hair loss continues as before.

Do I need a prescription to buy Minoxyqure 5%?

Rules for minoxidil 5% solution vary between countries – in some it is a pharmacy or over-the-counter product. Before you buy minoxidil, we recommend speaking to a doctor or pharmacist, especially if you have a heart condition or take other medicines.

Can women use Minoxyqure 5%?

The 5% solution is intended mainly for men. Women with hair thinning are usually advised to use a lower-strength product unless a doctor recommends otherwise, and should not use it during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
