Uses of Sildalist
Sildalist is used for:
- Erectile dysfunction (ED) – mainly in men who have not had a good enough response to sildenafil or tadalafil on their own.
It only works with sexual stimulation. It does not increase sex drive, is not a treatment for premature ejaculation, and does not protect against pregnancy or sexually transmitted infections.
Because it combines two PDE5 inhibitors at full strength, it is a powerful product. It is not a starting treatment and should only be used if your doctor agrees. It is for adult men only.
How does Sildalist work?
Both sildenafil and tadalafil are PDE5 inhibitors. When a man is aroused, nitric oxide relaxes the blood vessels of the penis so they fill with blood. The enzyme PDE5 breaks down the signal that keeps them relaxed. Blocking PDE5 lets the signal last longer, so an erection is easier to achieve and keep.
Onset: sildenafil starts to work within about 30–60 minutes.
Duration: tadalafil extends the window of response for up to 36 hours, though you still need stimulation for an erection.
Sildalist dosage: how to take it
- Swallow one tablet whole with water, about 30–60 minutes before sex.
- Maximum one tablet in 24 hours. Do not take it with any other sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil or avanafil product.
- Do not take it every day. It is meant for use when needed.
- It can be taken with or without food, but a heavy meal may delay the effect.
- Men over 65, and men with liver or kidney problems, may need a lower dose – ask your doctor.
- Limit alcohol and avoid grapefruit juice.
If you have taken more than prescribed, seek medical advice straight away.
Sildalist side effects
Because Sildalist contains two PDE5 inhibitors, side effects may be more noticeable than with either medicine alone.

Do not take Sildalist if you:
- Use any nitrate (e.g. nitroglycerin, isosorbide) or recreational “poppers” – blood pressure can fall dangerously low
- Take riociguat for pulmonary hypertension
- Are allergic to sildenafil, tadalafil or any other ingredient
- Have been advised to avoid sexual activity because of heart problems
- Recently had a heart attack or stroke, or have very low or uncontrolled high blood pressure
- Have severe liver disease, or have lost sight in one eye from NAION
Check with your doctor first if you have heart, kidney or liver problems, a bleeding disorder, a stomach ulcer, sickle cell disease, or a condition of the penis such as Peyronie’s disease.
Sildalist drug interactions
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all medicines and supplements you use. Key interactions:
- Nitrates and riociguat – never combine.
- Alpha-blockers (e.g. doxazosin, tamsulosin) – risk of dizziness and fainting.
- Blood pressure medicines – may add to the blood-pressure-lowering effect.
- Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors such as ritonavir, ketoconazole, itraconazole and clarithromycin – raise levels of both medicines.
- Other ED medicines – never use with additional PDE5 inhibitors.
- Grapefruit juice and heavy alcohol – can increase side effects.
