What is Lenalid 10?
Lenalid 10 is a generic Revlimid capsule made by Natco Pharma. Each capsule contains 10 mg of lenalidomide, the same active ingredient and strength as Revlimid®. It is used to treat multiple myeloma and certain myelodysplastic syndromes.

Uses of Lenalid 10
Lenalidomide is used for:
- Multiple myeloma – on its own for maintenance, or with dexamethasone and other medicines.
- Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) with a deletion 5q abnormality and transfusion-dependent anaemia.
- Some lymphomas, as directed by a specialist.
How does Lenalid 10 work?
Lenalidomide is an immunomodulatory drug. It helps the immune system attack cancer cells, directly slows their growth, and reduces the blood supply that tumours need.
Lenalid 10 dosage: how to take it
- The dose and schedule are set by your haematologist or oncologist and depend on the condition, kidney function and blood counts.
- In multiple myeloma it is commonly taken once a day for 21 days of a 28-day cycle.
- Swallow capsules whole with water at about the same time each day; do not open, break or chew them.
- Regular blood tests are needed throughout treatment.
Lenalid 10 side effects
Common: low white blood cells (infections), low platelets (bruising or bleeding), anaemia, tiredness, diarrhoea or constipation, rash, muscle cramps, swelling, nausea.
Serious – get medical help for: fever or signs of infection, leg swelling or pain, chest pain or breathlessness (blood clots), unusual bleeding, yellowing of the skin or eyes, severe rash or blistering.
Who should not take Lenalid 10?
Lenalidomide can cause severe, life-threatening birth defects. It must never be taken during pregnancy. Women who could become pregnant need pregnancy tests and must use effective contraception; men must use condoms because the drug is present in semen. Do not donate blood or sperm during treatment.
Do not take it if you are allergic to lenalidomide or thalidomide. Tell your doctor first if you have kidney, liver or thyroid problems, have had blood clots, heart disease or a stroke.
Lenalid 10 drug interactions
- Digoxin – levels may rise; monitoring is advised.
- Warfarin and blood thinners – monitoring needed.
- Oestrogen-containing medicines and erythropoietin – raise clot risk.
- Statins – muscle side effects may increase.
Tell your doctor about all medicines you use.
How to store Lenalid 10
Store below 30°C in a dry place in the original bottle. Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Handle capsules with care; anyone who is pregnant should not touch them. Do not use after the expiry date.
